The Town of Wethersfield seeks proposals from qualified construction company or consulting firms that can provide all design-build services related to construction of a new multisport synthetic turf field in Mill Woods Park located at 154 Prospect Street. The multisport field will be approximately 100,000 square feet in size with permanent markings and amenities to accommodate football, soccer, field hockey, and both boy's and girl's lacrosse. The Town will execute one comprehensive contract to a "General Contractor" who can be either a construction company, architectural/engineering consulting firm or other qualified entity for the design and construction of the field by a "Design-Build Team". Question Deadline 11/22/2024 at 12:00 PM ET Requests for interpretation of meaning of this RFQ, its appendices or other contract documents must be submitted in writing to the Town of Wethersfield Finance Department via email at purchasing@wethersfieldct.gov. Responses to questions will be emailed to those that obtained the RFQ and provided an email address to purchasing@wethersfieldct.gov, and will also be posted on the Towns website no later than Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. The Design-Build Team must exhibit that they and/or sufficient members of their team are knowledgeable and have experience in the design and construction of multisport synthetic turf fields. The Design-Build Team will be required to obtain all necessary local and state permits for the project. The Town reserves the right to reject any proposal deemed not to be in its best interest and waive minor technicalities. Postmarks, faxes, and email proposals will not be considered. The Town of Wethersfield, after review of all factors, including the terms and conditions, qualifications and price, reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, or any part thereof, or waive defects in the same, or accept any proposal or combination of proposals deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner.
