This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Honolulu, Hawaii. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The Hawai'i State Department of Health (DOH), Family Health Services Division (FHSD), Maternal and Child Health Branch (MCHB) and Children with Special Health Needs Branch (CSHNB) is contracting janitorial services for the Wilcox Building and Wilcox Annex Building. The CONTRACTOR shall: 1. Have an office on the island of Oahu from where the CONTRACTOR conducts business and be accessible to telephone calls for complaints or requests that need immediate attention. The CONTRACTOR shall be able to respond verbally within two (2) hours from the STATE's call/request. 2. Furnish all labor, supervision and equipment including but not limited to vacuum cleaners, sponges, brushes, dusters, etc. 3. Provide its own Design for Environment (DfE) Certified cleaning products, supplies and solutions including but not limited to disinfectants, cleaning detergents, soaps, floor wax remover, floor wax, etc. 4. The State will furnish toilet paper, toilet seat covers, paper towels, hand soap, light bulbs, and trash liners. 5. Be responsible for replenishing these supplies in the proper receptacles or fixtures as required. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for notifying the Contract Administrator for supplies provided by the STATE. 6. Perform all services in a safe and efficient manner. The CONTRACTOR shall employ best practices in providing services as specified herein. The CONTRACTOR shall further assure that the performance of work specified herein is to the STATE's full satisfaction and shall be in complete compliance with any applicable rules and regulations of all STATE, and local government agencies. 7. Be responsible for providing and utilizing appropriate safety signs during the performance of services. These safety devices shall be set up by the CONTRACTOR whenever their employee(s) are performing services such as wet moping or waxing floors and whenever a ladder is being used. Safety devices shall be set up in a manner to restrict access to the area to prevent accidents to office personnel and the general public. Safety signs should include international symbols, instead of or in addition to English, when possible. 8. Have the services performed by employees paid at wages not less than wages paid to public employees for similar work per Section 103-55, HRS. The CONTRACTOR is advised that in the event of an increase in wage rates to public employees performing similar work during the agreement period, employees shall be paid wages no less than those increased wages. To assist the CONTRACTOR in determining whether the work their employees are to perform under this agreement is similar to that performed by public employees, effective July 1, 2024, the basic hourly wages paid to the STATE positions
