Site work for a civil project in Hood River, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
As of April 01, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on April 15, 2025. The work to be done consists of building a hydroelectric facility which will include a hydropower turbine, generator and electrical control. The hydropower turbine will be provided by Canyon Hydro. The location of the hydroelectric facility will be near the existing Dee Bridge Pressure Reducing Station and will require approximately 400 feet of new 12" pipeline and fittings to connect the existing Dee Bridge Pressure Reducing Station to the new Hydroelectric Facility. Included in this project will be the installation of a new piping, hydroelectric facility, tie ins to the existing 24" water line, and resurfacing Punch Bowl Road in the work areas. The City will be owner furnishing the turbine, generator, one inlet valve, hydraulic power unit actuator, switchgear control panel, PLC control panel, and utility grade protective relays. All work is located in Hood River, OR. The project area of work is in the vicinity of the intersection of Punchbowl Rd and Lost Lake Rd. The work is more particularly described in the project plans.
