The success of the Sycamore Park Community Center has outgrown the current capacity for residents in this area of town. The additional classrooms and gym will provide greater opportunities for active lifestyles, as well as enrichment activities for members of the low-income demographic and underserved area of the community. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of May 15, 2025, per owner, there is no further information or updates on this project since it is still with PRCA and they are still working out the funding and details. Since they are already half-way through the budget year, they may not see this project go out for RFQP for several months if not until FY2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
