Renovation of a municipal facility in Farmington, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The historic Palmer House is across the street from the Civic Center. The house may be the only existing original adobe home in Farmington from the late 1880-1890. The house has had additions over its life and needs to be restored to celebrate the history of Farmington. Restoring the house will also reduce blight in the downtown area. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of May 15, 2025, per owner, there is no further information or updates on this project since it is still with PRCA and they are still working out the funding and details. Since they are already half-way through the budget year, they may not see this project go out for RFQP for several months if not until FY2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
