**As of February 25, 2025 the project has not been awarded yet. The timeline for award has not yet been established.** Roof replacement at Gideon Welles School, located at 1029 Neipsic Road, Glastonbury, CT 06033. The project scope involves the complete removal and roof replacement of approximately 81,830 square feet of roof area. The new roof covering will consist of a single-ply EPDM (ethylene propylene diene polymer) roof system, with a minimum 20 - year warranty. The scope of work for the project will include all materials, labor, services, equipment, systems, and machinery described in, and as may be reasonably inferable from the Bidding Documents. The specific work of the project is defined by the Contract Documents. It is anticipated that the successful Bidder will be required to commence work on or about a time agreed upon with the Town and contractor and achieve substantial completion of the Project no later than August 27, 2025. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid except as otherwise expressly provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The successful bidder who is awarded the project will be required to provide a 100% Labor and Material Payment Bonds and 100% Performance Bond in the full amount of the agreed contract price. The Town reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Invitation to Bid for any reason, to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any formalities or non-material deficiencies in any Bid, and to make such award (or make no award) of a contract in connection with this Invitation to Bid all as determined by the Town, in its discretion, to be in the best interest of the Town.
