A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Town of Glastonbury is currently seeking bids for the purchase and installation of four (4) reciprocating air compressors and associated equipment to be installed at each of the (4) Town of Glastonbury Fire Stations. 1.1 The intent of this Contract is to have four (4) separate reciprocating air compressors, with associated equipment, installed at each of the Town's four (4) Fire Stations. The Contractor shall perform all work in close conformity with the Bid Documents to furnish and install the specified reciprocating air compressors and other specified equipment necessary for compressor operation. The Contractors pricing shall include the furnishing of all materials, implements, machinery, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation, labor, and all other things necessary to the satisfactory prosecution and completion of the project. 1.2 The hose reel is to consist of 3/8 x 70 feet of hose and ceiling mounted. Wall mounting is not an option. 1.3 The hose reel should be mounted to either sheetrock or suspended ceiling with the ability to swivel. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid except as otherwise expressly provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the agreed contract price. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment bond are required of the successful bidder. These bonds shall cover all aspects of the specification and shall be delivered to the Purchasing Agent prior to the issuance of a purchase order. The Performance and Payment Bonds will be returned upon the delivery and acceptance of the bid items. The Town of Glastonbury is An Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
