The Town of Glastonbury is requesting proposals from licensed, DAS qualified HVAC contractors for replacement of HVAC at Buttonball School, located at 376 Buttonball Lane, Glastonbury, CT 06033 A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at Glastonbury High School, 330 Hubbard St. Glastonbury, CT 06033 on Feb 17, 2025 at 7:00am. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid except as otherwise expressly provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The successful bidder who is awarded the project will be required to provide a 100% Labor and Material Payment Bonds and 100% Performance Bond in the full amount of the agreed contract price. This contract is subject to state set-aside and contract compliance requirements and partially funded by a State DAS School Construction Grant. See Form of Contract for Construction. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid except as otherwise expressly provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The successful bidder who is awarded the project will be required to provide a 100% Labor and Material Payment Bonds and 100% Performance Bond in the full amount of the agreed contract price. The Town reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Invitation to Bid for any reason, to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any formalities or non-material deficiencies in any Bid, and to make such award (or makeno award) of a contract in connection with this Invitation to Bid all as determined by the Town, in its discretion, to be in the best interest of the Town. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per diem for failure to timely complete the Work shall apply to this Project. It is anticipated that the successful Bidder will be required to commence work on or about June 12, 2025 and achieve substantial completion of the Project no later than August 27, 2025 Question Deadline 02/27/2025 Deadline for Submission of RFI/Clarifications A Bid may be rejected for irregularities of any kind, including without limitation, alteration of form, additions not called for, conditional proposals, and incomplete Bids. A Bid may also be rejected if, in the opinion of the Town, the Bid does not meet the standard of quality established by the Bidding Documents. Any or all Bids may be rejected if there is any reason to believe that collusion exists among two or more Bidders. The foregoing provisions are for illustrative purposes and shall in no way limit the right of the Town to reject any and all Bids, in whole or in part.
