Site work for a water / sewer project in Bridgeport, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The vendor shall provide a complete oil skimmer system which meets the specifications listed below. All components shall be new, and the skimmer system shall be shipped to the US Army Corps of Engineers at Chief Joseph Dam in Bridgeport, WA 98813. The oil skimmer system shall consist of a tube type oil skimmer, decanter, and a 100-gallon day tank for collecting the oil and water from the decanter. Specifications: Vertical tube type skimmer with integrated decanter and collection tank. The collection tank shall be stainless steel. Collection tank shall have a capacity between 65 (minimum) and 100 (maximum) gallons. The skimmer must automatically transfer recovered oil to collection tank. The collection tank must have a float switch which automatically shuts off the oil skimmer when full. The The skimmer must have both an audible annunciation and indicator lamps in the event the skimmer shuts down or loses power. The collection tank must have both an indicator lamp and audible alarm when full. The collection tank must have liquid level indicator lamps to signal when the unit is 3/4 full and when full. The collection tank must have a manually activated electris pump for transferring oil and water to "used oil" drums once the collection tank is full. The skimmer must automatically return the water separated from the oil to the sump. The skimmer must use a free-floating closed loop oil collector tune to recover oil from the water surface. The oil collector tube must operate without requiring any mounts or guides installed in sump. The skimmer system must be capable of recovering 65-100 gallons/hour. The skimmer with integrated decanter and collection tank shall be mounted on a skid (as an all-in-one oil skimmer system). The skid shall have holes for mounting to a concrete floor or base (stationary installation). All components of the skimmer system must be designed to operate continously (24/7). The skimmer and collector tube must recover oil from a sump with fluctuating water levels (the normal operating level for the sump is 15 to 35 feet from the finished floor). The collector tube must extend 35 feer from the finished floor into a drainage sump. The required overall length for the collector tube is estimated at 78 feet based on the old skimmer (will need to work with vendor to determine optium length based on final installation). The collector tube must be resistant to tangling up on itself while floating on water surface. The collector tube must operate within the existing sump opening (30 inches center to center). The entire skid mounted skimmer system must fit within the existing skimmer system footprint of 30 inches x 74 inches. The power requirement is 120 VAC single phase. The skimmer system shall have a NEMA control box to house components for power, timers, lights, level switches, etc. All local alarms and indicator lamps much allow duplication to a remote annunciation panel. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
