City of Montesano 2025 Chip Seal Project An award of contract is anticipated to be made within 30 days of bid opening. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project includes all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to place approximately 30,000 square yards of chip seal and fog seal. Related work includes traffic control and protection of castings. Technical inquiries regarding the project should be directed to Mike Olden, P.E., at the City of Montesano, via email only at molden@montesano.us. A pre-bid conference will not be held. It is the responsibility of the bidders to print and distribute bid documents to potential vendors and subcontractors. Addenda will be distributed ONLY via electronically. The City of Montesano accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to bidders who fail to check for addenda and/or who do not acknowledge receipt of all addenda in the bid forms. All Proposals must be submitted on the Bid Form furnished with the Contract Documents, and each Bid Form must be accompanied by a cashiers check, postal money order or surety bond, by a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of Washington, made payable to City of Montesano in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. No bidder may withdraw their proposal after the time set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding 30 days. The City of Montesano reserves the right to award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder, waive informalities, or reject any or all bids.
