The Project consists of one prime Contract and includes but is not limited to the following approximate major Work items: 7,500 CY Common Excavation (Estimated) 100 CY Bed Rock Excavation (Estimated) 5,800 Ton Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement 9,700 Ton Dense Graded Base Course (1-1/4" and 3") 3,000 LF 18"-30" Concrete Curb and Gutter Remove and Replace 6,700 SF 5" Concrete Sidewalk Remove and Replace 48 VF Sanitary Sewer Manhole 14 EA Existing Sanitary Manhole Chimney Repair 765 LF 8" Sanitary Sewer 2,270 LF 8" Watermain 7 EA 8" Gate Valve 5 EA Hydrant Assemblies 1,250 LF 1" Water Service 1,180 LF 6" Sanitary Lateral 775 LF 12" RCP Storm Sewer Pipe with Granular Backfill 12 EA 48" Storm Manhole with Casting 20 EA 24" x 36" Catch Basin with Casting 1 LS Dust Control 3,500 SY Lawn Restoration. Bids shall be submitted using the electronic bid forms provided via CuestCDN.com. All blanks must be filled in for the Bid to be accepted. SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION DATA: Subsurface investigation data has been compiled to establish bedrock elevations and identify subsoil classifications. The reports are available in the Appendix of the Contract Documents. LEGAL PROVISIONS: The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Sections 62.15, 66.0901, and 66.0903 of the Wisconsin Statutes. WAGE RATES: Prevailing Wage Rates determined by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development DO NOT apply to this contract. BID SECURITY: Bid Security in the amount of not less than 5% nor more than 10% of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Acceptable Bid Security shall be a Bid Bond without condition, Certified Check, Cashierís Check, or Money Order. CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to the Contract Price. QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS: The City of Cedarburg will review the qualifications of Bidders taking into consideration information contained in previous information submitted, the completed "Bidders Statement of Qualifications" form included in the Bid documents, Contractor experience with similar jobs in other municipalities, and previously completed projects with the City of Cedarburg. The City shall have sole discretion in evaluating Contractor qualifications. The qualifications of Bidders shall be submitted with the Contractor's Bid. BID REJECTION/ACCEPTANCE: OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive informalities in bidding, or to accept the Bid or Bids, whichever best serve the interests of OWNER. BID WITHDRAWAL: No Bid or any required Bid Security shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Bids without the consent of OWNER. SALES TAX: The Bidder shall investigate 2015 Wisconsin Act 126 for items exempt from sales tax and include in their bid.
