Base Bid will be received for: A single lump sum bid for All Work. This project is being let using the single prime bidding and contracting process. DFD will publicly bid the applicable mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP) divisions of work first. If a project does not include any mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire protection divisions of work, DFD will bid one bid package for all work to general prime contractors. In general, the work consists of: Removing approximately 21,500 square feet of aggregate-surfaced, built up roofing on the readiness center low-slope roof areas. Existing coverboards and insulation shall also be removed to expose the existing roof deck. Portions of the existing composite fiber structural panel roof decking will be load tested to confirm prolonged exposure to moisture has not affected its load carrying capacity. The new roofing will consist of mechanically fastened insulation (R-25 average) with a fully adhered EPDM membrane. Provide new gutters, downspouts, flashings and roof equipment curbs as indicated in the drawings.
