Site work and paving for a road / highway in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**As of March 31st, 2025, the project was awarded to Monarch Paving Company, with an awarded amount of $414,104.25.** The Town of Washington is requesting bids for the entire stretch of Balsam Road which lies in the Town of Washington for subgrade correction, aggregate base, pulverize and relay, aggregate stabilizer, asphalt saw cuts, prepare foundation, paving and shouldering. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract deemed most advantageous to the Town. Balsam Rd starting CTH II extending south for approximately 1.07 miles. The work under this contract shall consist of: Subgrade correction: Remove 1200' x 22' x 3" pavement and barrow on-site. Subgrade correction: Remove 1200' x 26' x 10" subgrade and haul, install 10" breaker run, install 8" compacted base course. Drainage: Ditch and install drain tile on approximately 1,200' and replace 18" x 50' culvert. Roadway Surface: Place 4" of base course on remaining roadway (approximately 4,450'), pulverize entire roadway with an aggregate stabilizer and relay, padfoot roll and gradepulverized material to rural typical same day, saw butt joints, prepare foundation, proof roll foundation, apply asphaltic surface, and install 2' base course shoulder. Road Certification: Certify a 10-year design life by a registered engineer of completed project.
