Demolition, site work, paving and addition to a mixed-use development in Vancouver, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a 12,620-square-foot, one-story above grade detention facility; for the addition of a detention facility; for the demolition of a detention facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; pre-engineered storage facility; water / sewer project; 64-bed, 24-cell pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.

The new building will provide 64 beds in 16 double occupancy cells and 8 quad occupancy cells, with offices, visitation and other support spaces. A 100% PERFORMANCE BOND and PAYMENT BOND shall be additionally required of a successful bidder of any public work. Should a successful bidder fail to furnish this bond within ten (10) days after notice of bid award, exclusive of the date of notice, his five percent (5%) bid bond shall be forfeited to the County, and the contract shall be awarded to the next lowest and best bidder. SCOPE The Clark County Jail Work Center Expansion Project is a medium security jail facility. The new building is located on Clark County owned property adjacent to existing structures that support Clark County Jail. The new building will provide 64 beds in 16 double occupancy cells and 8 quad occupancy cells with offices, visitation, and other support spaces. The one-story building is a 12,620 square foot pre-engineered metal building structure with insulated metal panel and CMU walls and metal panel roof system. The foundations consist of concrete slab-on-grade and conventional spread footings. The building will be fully sprinklered of type II-B construction with non-separated uses. Jail cells are prefabricated steel wall construction, single stacked in 3 separate pods. Non-cell interior construction is a combination of CMU and metal stud framed interior walls and a variety of secure and non-secure ceilings. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection are designed to meet current Washington State Energy Code requirements. This includes LED lighting throughout, electric heat pump heating and cooling with energy and water management systems. Systems also include telecommunications, audio/visual and security electronics. Site work includes paving, landscaping, utilities, emergency generator, storm water detention, sidewalks, covered walk, exterior fenced sallyport and yard security fencing and gates. New parking will be added to provide 41 new parking spaces and drive aisles including EV charging stations, site lighting, and signage and striping to support the new facility. The awarded contractor shall pay for all permits.
