Buyer Contact: Daniel Millner millner.daniel@newton.k12.ga.us 678 342-2476 CONSTRUCTION OF DEF STATIONS AT NEWTON HIGH SCHOOL, EASTSIDE HIGH SCHOOL, BUS SERVICE CENTER, & JACK NEELY ROAD, NEWTON COUNTY, GA, FOR NEWTON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, NEWTON COUNTY, GEORGIA. This project consists of the installation of concrete pads and the electrical coordination for the installation of DEF stations. No Owner telephones, faxes or email services will be available. Contract, if awarded, will be on a stipulated sum basis. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receipt of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond payable to Newton County Board of Education in an amount equal to five percent of the base bid (Certified Checks NOT Acceptable). Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each amount equal to 100 percent of the contract sum, will be required of the successful bidder. These bonds shall be executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia, be listed on "Department of The Treasury Circular 570" and have an A. M. Best Company rating of at least Class "A", with a Financial Size of VI or better. Bonds must be accompanied by letter stating company's current rating for verification prior to acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement. The Owner will make progress payments to the successful contractor upon receipt of request for payment having been certified by the Architect as fully covered and shown in Contract Documents. Contract documents may be examined at the office of the Newton County Board of Education Offices, Covington, Georgia, in the office of the Architect. Access to Electronic PDF versions of Specifications and Drawings via FTP site will be given following receipt of deposit, review of the AIA A305 document and approval as a pre-qualified Bidder. AIA A305 may be sent to Architect electronically by sending an email to jrobinson@cfmm.net and copy switt@cfmm.net. References from past clients and projects must be included and will be verified. Bid deposits are non-refundable. DEF Stations at Newton HS, Eastside HS, Bus Service Center, & Jack Neely Rd, Newton County, GA All Bidders shall have submitted AIA Document A305 Contractor's Qualifications Statement along with the bid deposit. References from past clients and projects must be included and will be verified. Bidders who do not submit the AIA A305 will be subject to disqualification. All potential Bidders are strongly urged to Attend the Pre-Bid Conference in order to clearly understand the current scope of work. Contract documents have been submitted to the Authorities having jurisdiction for permitting. Permits will be available at the time Notice to proceed is issued. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to award a contract for any part of the work, or the job as a whole.
