Renovation of a detention facility in Kincheloe, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The Kinross Correctional Facility is replacing the existing Public Address (PA) system throughout the entire facility. Exterior speakers will be replaced and new ones added as required for proper coverage. New speakers will be added to the Pavilion. Interior speakers and wiring throughout the facility are to remain - but replaced, if deemed nonfunctioning, as necessary). New IP based head end units installed at existing locations or in new data racks, TBD. Existing direct buried lines to be properly terminated and abandoned in place. Existing PA racks/enclosures to be demoed if new equipment is installed in alternate location. The Professional Services Contractor (PSC) is to provide a proposal for Phase 500 Final Design and Phase 600/700 Construction Administration services to field investigate and document the existing system in its entirety (there is limited documentation of the existing system), including existing head end unit locations, all speaker locations, existing generator power availability conditions, rack space availability and to test the connectivity of the existing speaker wire from each speaker all the way back the head end unit in each unit.
