All contractor/vendor representatives attending a Pre-Bid Walk Through Meeting must submit a Vendor/Contractor LEIN Request five business days prior to the meeting date, (See the attached Vendor/Contractor LEIN Request form). Send the LEIN Request form, filled out and signed, by email to Daniel T. Smith at email address: SmithD76@michigan.gov. The email "Subject" must include (Facility Name, Project Name, Date & Time of Pre-Bid Walk Through Meeting). Requesting a Design Build entity for the development of design documents and replacement of the existing steam surge tank located in the powerplant at Chippewa Correctional Facility. The project is to include the removal of the existing surge tank and associated piping and equipment (will require design and details to remove the existing steam tank (the existing skid should be able to remain) - removal will likely have to go through the existing insulated metal panel wall system) and the installation of a new steam purge tank, piping, valves and controls that is to be tied together with the existing DA tank for system redundancy. There is a high pressure drip line that is currently tied into a low pressure line that will need to be reworked and tied into the existing DA tank. The purge tank and associated control system shall be Cleaver Brooks. Construction activities that that require the boiler/steam system to be shut down cannot occur anytime during the heating season. Interested bidders shall provide a complete Proposal for all required Professional and Construction Services. The consulting services shall be in compliance with the State of Michigan, Department of Management and Budget Contract for Professional Services and DMB Facilities Administration, Design and Construction Division policies and procedures (DMB 430). Proposals shall include Phase 500 Final Design, Phase 600 and 700 Construction Administration services as required. 5% BID SECURITY REQUIRED. REFERENCE STANDARDS: This project will comply with all codes, standards, regulations, and workers' safety rules that are administered by federal agencies (EPA, OSHA and DOT), state agencies (DHHS, EGLE, DNR, and MIOSHA), and any other local regulations and standards that may apply.
