The Township of East Fallowfield invites submission of sealed bids fir construction of the West Townline road Culvert Replacement Project as follows: Construction of a road culvert replacement for the Adsit Run Crossing on West Townline Road in the Township of East Fallowfield project area. The Township shall not be held responsible for the completeness or accuracy of any bid documents received by a vendor that were not directly issued to that vendor by the means listed above. Any vendor submitting a bid based on in-complete or inaccurate information resulting from documentation received from any third party, shall not have cause for relied from ware or completion of a contract in accordance with the official documents on with the township. The Township of East Fallowfield (the Township) is seeking sealed bids for the construction of the project described herein. The scope of work forthe project is presented below and shown on the maps, plans and design drawings. The goal of the project is to design, permit, and construct a new bridge crossing on West Townline Road at Adsit Run with special attention to preserving stream continuity per the Penn State Low-Volume Dirt & Gravel Roads program (LVDGR). The contractor will be responsible for the materials and construction of this project, which includes replacing two existing 6-foot diameter metal culverts carrying Adsit Run under West Townline Road with a new 50-foot-long pre-fabricated bridge. In addition, there are several stream stabilization features that must be installed along 277 feet of stream length (e.g. rock riffles, pools, mud sills, bank stabilization, etc.) to maintain stream continuity through the crossing based on the LVDGR program requirements. An erosion and sediment (E&S) control plan has been developed for the project and the contractor will be responsible for its implementation throughout construction. A material list is also enclosed for planning and estimating purposes. The contractor will work closely with the Township, Crawford County Conservation District, and the Engineer to implement the project. Periodic inspections and spot checks will be conducted to verify the construction and critical features and document progress. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, duly execut-ted by the bidder as principal, and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the owner. A performance bond equal to 100% of the contact sum is required to be delivered at time contact a signed with owner. All qualified bid-der are encouraged to respond. Funding for the project is being provided by the Penn State- Dirt & Gravel Low Volume Roads Program. The selected contract must comply with all provisions in the con-tract between conservation district and the township. Respondents are expected to demonstrate how they will achieve this goal. No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days of the date of the bid opening. The Town-ship reserved the right to waive any inconsistencies an to reject any or all bids.
