Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Greenville, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.

Scope of Work The Greenville Area Community Center in the City of Greenville is requesting proposals to upgrade wiring and lighting in the Greenville Area Community Center Theater. The Lighting Project is split into two phases. Phase One includes rewiring and electrical work. Phase Two includes installing new LED fixtures and related equipment. Because Phase One relies directly on what contractors propose for Phase Two, proposals will be accepted for Phase Two and then Phase One. Any quantities, measurements, or equipment stated are estimates only, and each contractor is responsible for assessing proposal specifications and theater needs. Failure to assess the proposal specifications and obtain your own measurements will not relieve the successful contractor of an obligation to furnish all products and labor necessary to carry out the provisions of the contract and to provide a turnkey product. PHASE ONE PROPOSAL-WIRING & ELECTRICAL Contractor must communicate and coordinate with the theaterical company selected for Phase Two to update GARCC Theater wiring as necessary. The intent of the new electrical is to: 1. Maximize safety and ensure electrical is up to date with current fire code regulations. 2. Convert electrical work to accommodate modern LED light fixtures. 3. Provide ease of access to house lighting. General Requirements: 1. Examine and inspect existing electrical in the theater on which wiring work is dependent. 2. Take field measurements to verify the building dimensions and make the necessary adjustments to shop drawings to reflect the actual field conditions. 3. Provide all necessary preparation and installation materials. 4. Schedule work with the Director of the Community Center to minimize the amount of time the theater will be unusable. 5. Coordinate with Tobins Lake Sales (Theater Lighting Fixture Company) to ensure that correct wiring, wiring devices, and conduit are used. Specifications: 1. Run wiring and power to the Plug Boxes that have been mounted by Tobins Lake Sales. 2. Determine if the existing breaker panel on Stage Right has enough breaker capacity for the new lights. If not, install a new breaker panel/load center. 3. Add an additional switch to control house lights near the main doors of the theater. Switch must: a. Be compatible with existing switches and system. b. Have the ability to turn lights on, off, and dim. 4. Replace house light bulbs with LED bulbs (30ct., Cool White Light, general purpose bulbs)
