Scope of work: the scope of work will consist of plowing snow in the nine (9) cityowned parking lots and several alley ways located throughout the downtown area, Seven (7) city-owned park parking lots, one (1) city-owned museum lot, and one (1) city-owned camp wwts lot, as depicted in the attached maps (collectively, the "Sites"). Further, all work shall be subject to the following conditions: Sidewalks: there are 2 classifications for the sidewalks: 1) downtown business district sidewalks, and 2) city-owned. All sidewalks shall have the snow removed using blower-type Bid date notes : the city of greenville (the "City") is seeking sealed bids for snow plowing of certain downtown and park parking lots. Bid investigation: prior to submission of the bid, all contractors shall make and shall be deemed to have made a careful examination of the sites, the scope of work, and the conditions included herewith. By submitting a bid, all contractors warrant they are informed as to the location and nature of the proposed work, general existing conditions, and all other matters that may affect the cost and the time of completion of the contract. Workmanship: all work shall be completed in a first-class workmanlike manner. The city will perform random inspections of the sites, and work to verify that the services provided are being conducted and completed to satisfactory standards equipment only; no push blade removal is allowed. Insurance: the contractor shall not commence, nor allow a sub-contractor to commence, work under the contract until they have obtained all insurance required under this rfp and the formal contract and a copy of such insurance is provided to the city. Bond: the successful contractor may be required to furnish a performance bond for the total cost of the project unless the city waives the right to require such a bond. Labor, materials & equipment: the contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, tools, and other equipment necessary to properly complete the work according to the Specifications herein and to the satisfaction of the city, as well as any safety devices the contractor deems necessary or prudent for safe operations, or as required by law.
