Questions concerning the specifications should be directed to Caleb DeVore, Public Works Water Foreman at 573-302-2020 x 2008. Scope: o Contact listening on all fire hydrants, mainline valves, service valves, and meter setters. Ground microphones should be used where valve spacing exceeds the range of the direct contact device. Correlators and hydrophones should be used were practical. o Maintain a log of all suspected leaks. o Conduct a second verification of all suspected leaks. The use of pipe locators and correlators should be used to determine location of leak. Hydrophones should be used on all plastic pipes, where practical. o Document all leak locations with diagrams with GPS coordinates, along with all related data used to pinpoint the leak. Field marking with paint and or flags is required. Pictures of each location will need to be submitted along with the location diagrams. o Daily reports from the previous day and survey plan for the current day are required. o Final report to include, but not limited to all leak location reports, diagrams, pictures, estimated water loss, pipe distance investigated, and problems found in the system. o Project Completion: 30 days Additional Requirements: No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The City of Osage Beach is soliciting sealed bids for a comprehensive water distribution leak survey. Sealed bids will be accepted at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 1000 City Parkway, Osage Beach, Missouri, 65065 until 11:00 o'clock a.m., Monday, April 7, 2025. Please indicate on the outside of the envelope the following: SEALED BID: Osage Beach Leak Survey. Provide an equipment list of all equipment used in the leak detection process. Include a project safety plan. Leak survey references and previous results City Responsibilities: o Provide GIS shapefiles of the distribution system, along with paper maps if required. o Field technicians will be readily available to answer questions or meet on site on an as needed basis. o Assist in cleaning out meter pits and valve stacks when needed. o Entry into sites. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Forms provided in the bound Bidding Documents Package and be accompanied by the bidder's certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. A performance bond will be required of the successful bidder. The successful bidder will also be required to obtain a contractor's license and submit a certificate of insurance for workers' compensation. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Any Bidder or equipment supplier whose firm or affiliate is listed on the General Services Administration (GSA) publication entitled "Lists of Parties Excluded from Federal Procurement or on-procurement Programs" will be prohibited from the bidding process. Anyone submitting a bid who is so listed will be determined to be anon-responsive Bidder in accordance with 40 CFR 31. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 in regard to non-discrimination in employment.
