The City incorporated as a General Law city with a Council/Manager form of government in January 1997. It is located approximately 10 miles east of downtown Sacramento on Interstate 80 between Sacramento and Roseville, California. The City has a population of almost 90,000 residing in a 14 square mile area in a mature, urbanized area estimated to be approximately 97% built out. Login RF The City currently employs over 190 full-time employees providing services in the areas of community development, general services, general administration, economic development, finance and police services. Citrus Heights is not a full-service city. Various special districts within Citrus Heights provide such services as water, fire, schools, and parks & recreation. The City Council priorities include maintain fiscal stability, maintain public infrastructure and enhance all modes of transportation; diversifying for a vibrant economy; preserve and enhance public safety; and enhance community vibrancy and engagement. The work to be performed generally consists of on-call repair and maintenance services. for City-owned streetlights, traffic signals and related infrastructure and equipment in order to meet the City's various streetlight and traffic signal maintenance needs. The projected work may include traffic signal and streetlight maintenance and repairs and related work within the City of Citrus Heights, and all other works as shown in the contract documents. Work is to be performed on an on-call basis, initiated by a request for service via a City-generated Work Order. In the case of urgent or emergency call outs, authorized City staff or designees will notify the on-call contractor of the immediate need and the contractor will respond as set forth in the this RFQ and the contract documents. By close of business the following regular business day, the contractor will supply the City with a contractor-generated work order reference number to be referenced in the City's work order system. The City reserves the right to waive minor defects and/or irregularities in submittals, and shall be the sole judge of the materiality of any such defect or irregularity. Respondents interested in being considered must submit a submittal in compliance with this RFQ. Failure to meet the minimum requirements of the RFQ shall be cause for rejection of the submittal.
