Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Citrus Heights, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work to be performed consists, in general, of constructing/reconstructing accessible curb ramps, failed and damaged sections of existing curb, gutter and sidewalk, reconstructing and relocating drainage inlets, removal and replacement of deteriorated storm drain pipe, restoring and /or relocating traffic striping, legends and markers, and all other work as shown the contract documents. There is no pre-bid meeting for this project. The license classification required for this project is Class "A": General Engineering, Class "C-8": Concrete, and/or Class "C-12" Earthwork and Paving Contractor issued by the State of California. The license must be active and in good standing as of the date of receipt of bids and must be maintained in good standing throughout the term of the contract. For contracts involving federal funds, the license must be active and in good standing as of the date of the Contract award and must be maintained in good standing throughout the term of the contract. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check or Bidder's Bond made payable to the City of Citrus Heights in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into the Contract within the time period required by the Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish, prior to the performance of any work hereunder, a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, and a faithful performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. The bonds must be approved by the City. The successful bidder shall also furnish a Warranty Bond, in a form acceptable to the City in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract price plus change orders, to hold good for a period of one year after the completion and acceptance of the work, to protect the City against the results of defective materials, quality of work, and equipment during that time. This bond shall be delivered to the City before the final payment under this Contract will be made. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish insurance as set forth in the Contract Documents. The City of Citrus Heights reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof, to accept a bid or portion thereof and to waive any minor informality or irregularity.
