The City of Citrus Heights (City) seeks proposals to provide On-Call Arborist Services. The qualified arborist ("firm") will perform a variety of on-call services to preserve, protect, and enhance the City's 3.6 miles (2,278 acres) of overall tree canopy. A main component of the services will be to provide consulting services for private property owners through the City's "Tree Assistance Program." In addition, the arborist may assist in the review of development applications, work with staff and other interested community groups on programs and tree planting projects that promote the City's tree canopy. The initial contract will run through June 2027 with the option for a two-year extension (June 2029). The arborist shall be aware of, and shall comply with, City ordinances governing trees and tree maintenance services, ANSI A300 Tree Management Standards and ISA Best Management Practices, and ANSI Z133 Tree Care Safety Standards. This RFP contains all the information necessary to prepare and submit a responsive proposal.
