Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Ceres, California. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The project will be constructed in three phases under one contract and one DSA application number to accommodate the housing requirements for this existing elementary school. Phase One of the project is currently under construction. Phase Two The work will consist of site demolition work and construction of a new 7,931 s.f. building housing four classrooms and two office areas. The building has an arcade around the perimeter of the building. The building will be situated between three existing buildings. The building is wood framed, slab on grade with a masonry veneer and stucco wall finishes. There is sloped hip roof with concrete tiles and a mechanical well with a TPO roof membrane. The interior will have carpet flooring, vinyl wrapped tackboard wall finish, suspended T-bar ceiling and plastic laminated casework. Roof mounted solar panels with battery storage system. Roof mounted HVAC package units and ductwork. New electrical power service to the building and distribution throughout the building. Low voltage communication systems within the building interconnected to the school site office. Alterations to an existing restroom building, housing two student restrooms, two staff restrooms, custodial and mechanical rooms. The building is 1,200 s.f. in area. The exterior walls are concrete masonry units. A hip sloped roof with concrete tiles. The interior wall and floor surfaces along with plumbing fixtures will be demolished. The rooms will be altered to meet ADA accessibility requirements. New polished concrete floors, FRP wall and ceiling finishes, new plumbing fixtures and partitions. Replacement of light fixtures and low voltage systems. Site work will include the rerouting of an existing storm drain line and new manholes. Extending sewer, water, and gas to the building. New concrete flatwork and asphaltic pavement. New on-site fire hydrant. New French drain storm water collection system and in-fill of an existing storm water retention basin. New irrigation and landscaping improvements. Phase Three The work in this phase will consist of the demolition of eight portable classrooms on wood foundations and utilities to the buildings. Pressure grouting of an abandoned TID irrigation pipe line. Construction of two new 5,118 s.f buildings (10,314s.f. total) each housing four classrooms. Each building will have an arcade along the westerly side. Each building is wood framed, slab on grade with a masonry veneer and stucco wall finishes. Each building has a sloped hip roof with concrete tiles and a mechanical well with a TPO roof membrane. The interior of each classroom will have carpet flooring, vinyl wrapped tackboard wall finish, suspended T-bar ceiling and plastic laminated casework. Roof mounted solar panels with battery storage system. Roof mounted HVAC package units and ductwork for each classroom. New electrical power service to each building and distribution throughout each building. Low voltage communication systems within each building interconnected to the school site office. Access to the construction areas is limited by existing paths of travel from the street to each phase of the work.
