Site work and paving for a road / highway in Issaquah, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Bids must be received early enough to ensure it is received and processed through the City's mail service in time. Any bids received after the bid submittal deadline will not be accepted. The Work to be performed provides for the improvement of various roadways throughout the City of Issaquah. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, sweeping, leveling, crack seal operations (50,000 pounds), slurry seal operations (59,000 SY), utility covering, traffic control tab placement, monitoring of daily quantities, spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) plans, and all traffic control personnel and devices. All work described under the terms of this contract shall be completed within 45 working days following the date of commencement. Crack seal operations may begin no sooner than June 1, and the slurry seal work, may not begin sooner than June 23rd. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities and to reject any or all bids and to award this Contract to a single bidder based on the lowest responsible bid for aggregate total of all schedules. Proposals shall be on forms included in the contract documents and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond (with an authorized surety company as surety), made payable to the City of Issaquah, in an amount not less than 5% of the amount of the bid. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the time announced for the opening, or before the award and execution of the contract, unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty-five (65) days. The City of Issaquah in accordance with Tit le VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office ofthe Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit, bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
