Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Pasadena, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Pasadena Department of Transportation ("City") invites interested parties to respond to this Request for Information ("RFI") regarding the City's Bus Stop Furniture and Amenities Program ("Program"). The City seeks information--in part through this RFI--about best products and practices in the manufacturing, operation, maintenance, and advertising of municipal street furniture to assist in the development of a Request for Proposals. Many conditions, including technologies, have changed since the execution of the current agreement, and the City is committed to full and wide-ranging due diligence prior to any final action. The City is seeking the input of experienced and knowledgeable street furniture vendors and experienced Out of Home ("OOH") advertisers, as well as other companies and organizations with relevant information, to help envision, formulate, and assess opportunities to achieve the City's program goals. This RFI is strictly an inquiry. No agreement will be entered into as a result of this RFI. However, the information contained in the RFI responses will help the City advance its procurement process, including the issuance of an RFP. Background The City of Pasadena is located 11 miles directly north of downtown Los Angeles. Set against the foothills, Pasadena is the most populous city in the San Gabriel Valley with a population of over 133,000. Pasadena is home to a number of cultural and educational destinations including the world famous Rose Bowl Stadium, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Caltech. During the anticipated term of the program contract that results from the RFP, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena will host games for the 2028 Olympics. All responses should consider the City's Program goals of: Expanding the current features/services of the existing street furniture program to provide a greater transit experience overall Continuing to generate revenue to help support the program and City transit services Improving accessibility to transit users with disabilities. Question Submission Deadline: April 30, 2025, 3:00pm. Bidders must provide all required information for the City to verify the bond with their bid. The bond must meet the following requirements and characteristics: Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price in the form of a redeemable or callable electronic surety bond, meeting City requirements, must accompany all bids. If the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall for fifteen (15) calendar days after such award fail or neglect to enter into the contract with the required insurance documentation, submit the Construction & Demolition Waste Management Plan, and file the required bonds, the City may deposit in its treasury said bid security and, under no circumstances, shall it be returned to the defaulting Bidder. Failure to return signed contract with all the attachments stated above may result in having the project awarded to the next lowest bidder.
