The Belknap County Commissioners are requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide Cable Service for approximately 135 connections. We are interested in the cost for Basic and Expanded Cable service for the Belknap County Complex in Laconia, New Hampshire. The contractor will provide all materials, plus all labor, transportation, and testing required to complete the project. The selected vendor will beexpected to provide a certificate of insurance satisfactory to Belknap County for General Liability and Worker's Compensation. Belknap County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or part thereof, to waive any formality in the bidding process, and to accept the bid considered to be in the best interest of the County. Failure to submit all information called for herein may be sufficient grounds for disqualification. The County retains the right to cancel this bid request at any time for any reason.The purpose of this bid is to provide all labor, tools, transportation, materials, equipment and permits as necessary to provide the required level of services described herein. The scope of work shall include setup, installation of equipment, all connections to provide service, and programming for approximately 103 connections for the Belknap County Nursing Home, 28 connections for the Corrections facility and 4 connections for the Sheriff's Department located at the County Complex in Laconia, New Hampshire. The installation of the Cable Service shall be completed in a reasonable time frame as mutually agreed upon by all parties. The Vendor shall submit a proposed schedule to the Nursing Home and Corrections facility at least seven (7) days prior to the start of work. The act of submitting a bid shall be considered full acknowledgement that the vendor has had the opportunity to become familiar with the site and the conditions and requirements of these specifications. All services performed under any contract resulting from this request for bid shall be performed between 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday unless other arrangements are made in advance with the Nursing Home and Corrections. No premium charges will be paid for any off-hour work. The vendor shall not commence any work until a conference is held with the Environmental Services Director at the Nursing Home. The Vendor agrees that any damage to buildings, materials, equipment, vehicles or to other property during the performance of this service will be the responsibility of the Vendor and will be promptly repaired at their own expense. Performing Services: o Provide approximately 135 connections. o List of the channels that will be provided. Providing, in-house, local and the most popular. o List a list of costs to expand or decrease channels throughout the term of the agreement. o Any changes to channels need to be authorized by BCNH. o All receivers will be installed in the IT Room, with an access monitor. o All necessary cabling from point of service to end user point. o HD available on channels. o Basic channels and expanded offer in bid. Please, offer the best option and cost. o List of contract options and requirements. o List all monthly charges, yearly increases. o If we are purchasing equipment, list cost of service after the contract term ends. o All wall penetrations must be filled with Fire stopping protection. o All installation and testing of the system must follow code requirements. o The Vendor shall always be responsible for the safe, careful, and efficient operation of their equipment and shall comply with all applicable laws and safety regulation that apply to the performance of work. o Careful consideration will have to be made working in the area of the Nursing Home Residents. o The Contractor shall guarantee labor, materials, and equipment provided under the contract against defects for a period of one year after the date of final acceptance of this work. Insurance: The County will require the vendor to be awarded the contract to submit proof of comprehensive general Liability Insurance prior to performing any services. The coverage shall have appropriate riders against all claims of bodily injury, death or property damage, in amounts not less than $250,000 per claim and $2,000,000 per incident or $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 umbrella. Coverage shall also include liability and workers' compensation. Award: The award will be given to the responsible bidder meeting the criteria established in the request for proposal. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof in the best interest of the County.
