BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES The City of Arvada owns and maintains the Arvada Center of Performing Arts property at 6901 Wadsworth Blvd. Arvada Center's non-profit operates the facility. The Center produces, curates, and creates national-caliber arts, humanities, education, and entertainment through live theatre and concert performances, art classes and art galleries. During high peak times, the facility can host more than 600 guests. The north automatic door entrance is the current ADA accessible entrance into the building. The current automatic door entrance is outdated and can propose a safety hazard with the current operational configuration. The City of Arvada Facilities Management Department is looking for qualified contracting firms for construction services relating to the Automatic Door Replacement at the Arvada Center. SCOPE OF WORK SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED The project will include but not limited to the demo of two (2) current automatic door entrances, storefront glass and pressurized mats on the exterior and interior of the building and replace with one (1) new sliding automatic door entrance and controller with an air curtain to include new concrete and walk off carpet. Walk off carpet will be provided by the City of Arvada. DELIVERABLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFICATIONS OR PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Each Proposer shall be solely responsible for examining the RFP documents, including any addenda issued to the RFP, and all conditions which may in any way affect your Proposal or the performance of the Work on the Project, including but not limited to: o Attend the proposal meeting or visit the site and become familiar with and satisfy itself as to the general, local, and site conditions that may affect the fees required to be submitted with their respective Proposal o Address all potential impacts with third parties and ensure all such impacts have been identified and included in your Proposal o Be able to maintain emergency egress during construction o Be able to communicate and coordinate all milestones and construction processes to ensure project doesn't impede on Arvada Center's operations as much as possible o Notify the Arvada team of any conflicts, errors, ambiguities, or discrepancies that the proposer's discovers in the RFP Documents o Completed project must meet ADA accessibility standards and codes. The Contractor shall establish and maintain a system for documenting, monitoring, inspecting, verifying, and testing of the work and that of their subcontractors to ensure that all applicable requirements of the contract documents are met and are in compliance with all applicable codes. The Contractor shall be diligent to ensure that the quality of workmanship is satisfactory, that the installation meets all manufacturer requirements, that dimensional requirements are met, that defective materials are not used, and that all required protection and control.
