Renovation of an educational facility in Berkeley, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Project Scope Includes but is Not Limited to the Following: 1. Addition of a New Automated Logic Corporation (Alc) Supervisory Controller and Chilled Water Plant Controller. All New Temperature Controls Provided by This Project Shall Be Alc and Connected to This Panel. A. The Supervisory and Chilled Water Plant Controller Shall Be Installed in a New Panel Enclosure On the Roof. B. Data/ethernet is Required for the Controller. This Contractior is Responsible for Providing the Conduit/pathway Required Between the Temperature Control Panel on the Roof and Idf 'tr 304' on The 3rd Floor. Data/ethernet and Final Termination of the Cabling in the Idf Shall Be Provided by Uc Berkeley. C. Extend 120 V Power to the Control Panel. 2. Reuse Existing 225a Circuit Breaker in Switchboard '440v' to Serve New Chiller. Reuse Existing Feeders, Conduits and Branch Circuits. Contractor Shall Have Replacement 225a Circuit Breaker on Site Prior to Shutdown in Case of Breaker Failure Which Would Require Replacement of the Circuit Breaker 3. Replace Existing 80-ton Air Cooled Chiller Ch-e With New 80-ton Air Cooled Chiller. Chiller Has Been Pre-purchased by Uc Berkeley. Contractor Shall Relocate the Chiller From Uc Berkeley's Storage Location to the Project Site and Installing the Chiller. Replace Existing Disconnect Switch And Reuse Existing Feeders Up to the New Disconnect Switch. Provide New Conduit Feeders From the Disconnect Switch to the Chiller. A. Contractor Shall Be Responsible for All Costs Associated With the Storage of the New Air Cooled Chiller From the Date of Contract Award From Uc Berkeley Until Installation of Chiller at Gilman Hall. 4. Provide Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing for the Chilled Water System. 5. Participate in the Commissioning of the Chilled Water System. The University Will Contract a 3rd Party Commissioning Agent. 6. Prior to Project Completion, the Existing and New Portions of the Steel Chiller Platform Shall Be Power Washed, Primed, and Repainted. All Paint Materials You Shall Be Exterior Rated, Appropriate For the Application, and Two Coats Minimum. “B” - General Building AND “C-20” Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning Contractors License. Estimated construction cost: $330,000.00
