Work includes all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to install approximately 15,965 linear feet (LF) of fiber optic cable across multiple locations. The project will integrate new fiber optic connections into the existing network, providing improved communication and data transmission capabilities. Installation methods will include trenching, conduit placement, and directional drilling as required. The contractor shall ensure seamless integration, system reliability, and full operational functionality per project plans and specifications. No bid will be received unless it is made on a bid form which is included as part of the Special Provisions for the project. Each bid shall be accompanied by cash or a cashier’s check or a certified check, or a satisfactory bid bond issued by a California admitted surety insurer in the form as included in the bid documents, in any event in an amount not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. Construction surveying and staking will be provided by the Contractor. The Contractor must obtain a Right-of-Way Permit from the City, at no cost, before construction begins.
