Milling of Bituminous Item 3: 146 Ton Superpave Scratch and Leveling Course, 9.5 mm, In Place Item 4: 708 Ton Superpave Wearing Course, 9.5 mm, In Place Item 5: 13,184 S.Y. Double Seal Coat, In Place Prevailing Pennsylvania State wage rates apply to Paving Portion of this Project. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $870.00 per calendar day. Proposals must be on the form furnished by the municipality. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the contract bid made payable to the municipality must accompany all bids. A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Roads will receive: (1) 90lb. Leveling course of Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design 9.5mm including tack coat. (2) a 1.5" overlay of Superpave Asphalt design 9.5mm including tack coat. (3) Base repair as directed by Twp. as per spec in contract documents. As per PUB 408, tack coat shall be placed below every new layer of asphalt where required, and is included in the placement price of the superpave material being placed. All work is to be performed per latest PUB 408 Specifications including any updates. Sugarloaf Mt. Rd to receive Asphalt Surface Treatment per PennDOT PUB 408 and contract documents. Pa prevailing wages shall apply to Paving portion of contract only.
