- The removal or abandonment of the existing 4" water main and replacement with a proposed 8" water main. Generally, the water main work to be performed includes installation of temporary water main, removal of existing water main, installation of new water main, removal and replacement of water service connections, removal and replacement of hydrants, trench repairs and restoration of any areas disturbed by construction activities. - Storm and Sanitary Sewer removal, replacement, and improvement. - Full Depth Pavement Removal & Replacement, sidewalk, curb ramp and curb replacements; asphalt concrete surface and intermediate courses; and pavement markings. The bidder is responsible for all printing and delivery fees. Fees are non-refundable. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. Contractors shall use only the classifications and Davis-Bacon labor standards, and prevailing wage rates set forth in the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) wage decisions found at online. Additionally, please note that the wage modification in effect at the time of the project sale date shall be used by all contractors. Each bid must contain the full name of every person, persons, or company interested in same and be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of either a bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid drawn in favor of the City of Rocky River, or a certified check or cashier's check or letter of credit on a solvent bank in Cuyahoga County, made payable to the City of Rocky River in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as prescribed in Ohio Revised Code Section 153.54.Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation (prime contract, subcontractors, materials and supplies) are encouraged on this project for those certified DBEs pursuant to 40 CFR, Part 33, and 2 CFR Parts 200 and 1500. The City of Rocky River reserves the right to waive any informalities or reject any or all proposals or to award a contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the City of Rocky River.
