2025-945 Lake Virginia PWA Toilet Pad and Screen R2901-2000017176 The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids for: labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary for the installation of a new concrete toilet pad and the installation of a wood screen fence around the concrete pad at Lake Virginia Public Water Access Site in Carver County. The location of the project is: Lake Virginia Public Water Access, 6665 Smithtown Rd, Excelsior, MN 55331. For a site visit: Contact Project Supervisor Rachel Henzen at 651-259-5875. Failure to respond to latest event version may result in bid rejection. Please be aware that there are attachments to this event. The vendor is responsible for reviewing all attachments and complying with all requirements to this Event. DNR will be the determining factor if vendor meets specifications. All questions should be directed to the buyer listed in this event. Unit price must include all costs such as labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, sales tax, use tax and all else necessary for completion of the project. Direct Pay Permit 1114 does not apply to this project. Award--Item, Group, Total: Responses that do not comply with the solicitation will be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected. The award will be made to the lowest responsible vendor meeting the specifications and all terms and conditions. The State reserves the right to award items separately, by grouping items, or by total, whichever is deemed most advantageous to the State. The Division of Parks and Trails is looking for a bid on a toilet pad and screen installation at Lake Virginia Public Water Access Site in Carver County. The work covered under this solicitation shall consist of labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals for the work below. Project Details: This project will consist of the installation of a new concrete toilet pad. This work will include: o Removal of existing soil in 11' x 11' are to a depth of 10". o Install 6" of class 5 base materials and compact. o Removal of 20 linear feet of existing curb. o Form and pour 50 linear feet of new curb (B612 concrete curb and gutter, MNDOT standard plate 7100H) around the area of the new 10' x 10' pad, matching the existing curb onsite. o Pour air-entrained concrete, trowel level and score expansion joints to match the existing pattern and apply a broom finish. o Pour new 10' x 10' x 4" pad to meet ADA code with less than 2% grade. o Pour air-entrained concrete, score expansion joints as needed, and apply a broom finish. o Backfill the edge of the new curb with soil. This project will also consist of the installation of a wood screen fence around the concrete pad. This work will include: o Lumber is to be green treated lumber with the following dimensions: o 6"x6"x10' posts, 2"x6"x to length stringers, and 1"x6"x6' fencing. o All lumber to be S45 and treated with CCA or ACZA preservative at 0.4 lbs./cubic feet retention. o 2"x6"'s to be bolted to 6"x6''s (8 bolts/upright) and the 1"x6"'s fastened with 1 3/4'" galvanized deck screws. o Installation of 4 - 6" x 6" x 10' treated posts set in concrete. o Installation of 25 linear feet of 6' high 1' x 6' treated fencing (see drawing below). Timing o All work should be completed by June 27, 2025. o Work schedules are Mondays through Thursday with no work allowed on Friday through Sunday. o The contractor will take all steps necessary to warn the public of work. o No work shall start without prior contact of DNR staff and shall not include any site closures over the weekend or without prior consent from listed staff. The project shall be substantially complete by June 20, 2025. Final Completion of the work shall be on or before June 27, 2025.
