Scope of Work The Work Site is located north of New Hope Road in southern Sacramento County approximately one mile east of the intersection of Orr and Kost Roads and/or about 1.5 miles east of the intersection of Thornton Road. The project generally consists of excavating approximately 2,300 lineal feet of habitat channel and stockpiling the excavated material onsite. The project includes, but is not limited to the following elements: 1. Mobilization and Demobilization a. Supply and transport of construction equipment, materials, supplies, appurtenances, etc., to perform work. b. Remove all equipment, construction waste, storage facilities and incidentals from the Project site and cleanup of the Project site to the satisfaction of Engineer. 2. Clearing, Grubbing and Stripping a. The clearing, grubbing, stripping and removal of unsuitable earth and vegetable materials within the SRA Channel footprint. b. The placement of strippings at a designated onsite stockpile. 3. Earthwork a. The excavation of habitat channel referred to in the drawings as "SRA Channel". b. The placement of excavated material at a designated onsite stockpile. 4. Quantity Surveys The Engineer's estimate is approximately $360,000.00 No Bid proposal will be considered unless it is made on the Bid Forms furnished by the District's Engineer. The deadline for submitting questions is May 30, 2025 , at 5:00 p.m. No Proposal will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the laws of this State to perform the work herein described and who does not possess a Class A license or its equivalent for the type of work called for under this project. Proposals shall be prepared in accordance with the requirements set forth in the Contract Documents, on the forms therein or copies thereof, and shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount not less than 10% of the amount of the bid. Upon being awarded the contract, Contractor shall provide a 100% Public Works Payment Bond and a 100% Performance Bond. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any Proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which, however, shall not extend beyond 90 days from the bid opening date. The Contract time for performance shall begin on the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed, as early as July 1, 2025 , and shall extend through August 31, 2025 .
