Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New Buffalo, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Scope of Work The selected contractor will provide all materials, equipment, and labor required to complete the following: A. Pole and Fixture Installation O Supply seven (7) light poles that match the appearance, height, and finish of the existing LED light poles currently installed at the site. O Install fifteen (15) LED light fixtures on the new poles. O Include concrete pole bases for each of the seven poles as part of the installation. B. Exclusions O This scope does not include directional boring to poles that currently do not have conduit or bored piping in place. Please provide an alternate price for any directional boring needed. O This scope does not include removal of any existing poles currently owned by AEP (American Electric Power) or any other third-party utility provider. Please provide an alternate price for and removal. A site visit will be held upon appointment with the Mark German Director of Operations at the elementary school parking lot. Scope of Work The successful contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment to complete the following: A. Surface Milling and Preparation o Mill the entire lot to a 1.5" depth (approx. 80,115 sq. ft.). o Mill designated red areas to an additional 2" depth (approx. 25,680 sq. ft.). o Compact the gravel base in red areas to prepare for paving. B. Paving o Install 2" base hot mix asphalt in red areas. o Apply a tack coat to the entire area to be resurfaced. o Pave the entire lot with 1.5" surface hot mix asphalt. C. Striping and Marking o Re-stripe and stencil the parking lot to match the existing layout using durable traffic paint. o Markings to include: o Approx. 3,900 linear feet of white striping o Approx. 850 linear feet of yellow striping o (21) arrows o (6) 'Visitor' stencils o (7) Handicap symbols o Note: Striping includes the east parking lot, which is not being repaved but requires restriping.
