The Shoreline Fire Department is soliciting qualifications from architectural and engineering firms for an on-call services contract spanning three years, with the potential for a three-year renewal. The goal is to support various design, architectural, engineering, and construction administration tasks related to fire station projects. These tasks range from minor remodels to full station designs. The RFQ outlines both current and potential future projects, which include maintenance shop expansions, HVAC replacements, and facility evaluations, among others. Firms responding to this RFQ must demonstrate experience with fire service-related architecture, particularly in operationally functional fire station design, and must provide detailed information about relevant past projects. Submittals must include firm background, examples of relevant experience, project management approach, staffing capabilities, references, a fee schedule, and required certifications. The Fire Department will evaluate submissions based on several criteria including relevant experience, project team qualifications, value for money, and clarity of the proposal. Final terms will be negotiated with the selected firm, and the Department retains full discretion over selection and contracting, including the right to reject proposals or cancel the RFQ process at any time.
