Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Roanoke, Virginia. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Aviation Drive/Valley View Pedestrian Improvements to commence with construction in Spring 2025. Improvements ($7.8M) are funded by the States Regional Surface Transportation, Highway Infrastructure, and Smart Scale programs. There are no local funds associated with the work. Design started in Spring 2023 with right-of-way acquisition to commence in Fall 2024. This project is included in the city's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of June 11, 2025, per owner, engineer has been identified. Construction timeline not yet announced. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
