Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,700-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The City of Green Cove Springs is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to Design-build for buildout of vacant space in City Hall for a term not to exceed NO VALUE beginning with NO VALUE. This project is a tenant buildout of approximately 1,700 square feet of unfinished 2nd-floor space at Green Cove Springs City Hall. The scope includes installation of new partition walls to create offices, a bathroom, and a conference room, new furring and drywall on exterior walls, new flooring throughout, installation of a new suspended ceiling with integrated lighting, upgrade of the existing HVAC system, and installation of new electrical and data wiring. As-builts are provided for reference, but a physical site inspection prior to bid is highly recommended. The scope of work includes design, permitting and construction. The existing space is constructed as a conditioned shell space. There is currently infrastructure for HVAC, electric, plumbing, and fire alarm systems in the shell space, but these systems may need to be expanded, revised, or upgraded to support the buildout. Bidders shall submit all inquiries regarding this bid via at online. Question Submission Deadline:July 15, 2025, 5:00pm Bidders are advised that payment and performance bonds with a surety acceptable to the City shall be provided to the City upon receipt of a signed contract or purchase order for faithful delivery or performance of items or services as stated in this Bid Invitation. Performance bonds shall include provisions for the City's delay or liquidated damages. The successful Bidder shall furnish within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after written notice of award, a Payment and Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract. The scope of work includes design, permitting and construction. The existing space is constructed as a conditioned shell space. There is currently infrastructure for HVAC, electric, plumbing, and fire alarm systems in the shell space, but these systems may need to be expanded, revised, or upgraded to support the buildout. Bidder agrees that time is of the essence in connection with performance, delivery, and/or the services of this contract. The construction timeline for this project is 120days for substantial completion and 150 days for final completion. The City reserves the right to require the successful proposer to execute an agreement incorporating all documentation, and which contains standard provisions for default, bid security, attorney fees, termination, remedies, jurisdiction and other conditions deemed legally appropriate by the City. It is the desire of the City to enter into an agreement to complete this singular project. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals as a whole, or any part thereof, waive any or all irregularities, and award the RFP to the responsible proposal determined to represent the City's best interests. Subject to the City's right to reject bids, and if the bid is reasonably the lowest responsive and responsible, recommendation for award to bidder will be made to the City Council. A contract will only be entered into with responsible bidders, qualified by experience and financial ability to do the work and/or supply service or materials. QA - 7/15/25: Generally, there will be 2 people in the space unless they have a meeting. There are no fire sprinklers. Fire walls may be required by code to separate the tenant spaces. Storage will be paper and promotional products. Yes, you can substitute LVT for VCT.
