Renovation of a municipal facility in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
**As of August 11, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Basic scope of work: Remove existing 125 kW generator, subbase fuel tank, 400 amp automatic transfer switch, and associated appurtenances Transport old generator and equipment from 321 Walnut St to 900 Gum St (0.5 miles) Transport and install new 200 kW generator, subbase fuel tank, 1200 amp automatic transfer switch from 900 Gum St Reconfiguration of service entrance, emergency conduits, new conductors, and all other necessary incidentals as required for complete and operational backup power system New generator weighs approximately 10,000 lbs and has eyelets on the fuel tank for lifting A more comprehensive scope of work is located in the attached drawings and specifications from Evanlily Engineering. This project is partially funded by the State of Florida Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) and may have additional documentation requirements. Refer to portions of the HMGP contract included in the package. City Hall is operated Monday - Thursday from 0700 - 1730 (5:30 pm) Maintaining power during operating hours is imperative to servicing our customers. Contractor parking will not be in spaces inside city hall area. Electrical shutdowns must be coordinated with the city's Public Works and Information Technology / Information Security Departments. The city has purchased the generator and transfer switch directly - do not include in bid pricing. Additional larger appurtenances may also be purchased directly. Structure bid to be able to identify more expensive electrical gear and adjust accordingly. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals as a whole, or any part thereof, waive any or all irregularities, and award the RFP to the responsible proposal determined to represent the City's best interests. Proposals shall comply with the conditions, instructions, specifications and terms as described herein. Proposals are expected to fully inform themselves of the requirements of the specifications. Failure to do so is at the Proposer's risk. Proposers will not secure relief on the plea of error or misunderstanding. Bidder agrees that time is of the essence in connection with performance, delivery, and/or the services of this contract. The construction timeline for this project is 45 days for substantial completion and 60 days for final completion. Question Deadline 07/21/2025 at 5:30 PM ET
