Site work and paving for a road / highway in Chimney Rock, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Please refer to Solicitation for Site Visit Details The intent of this project is to provide aggregate and reconstruct 2.2 miles of road within the Williams Creek Campground. Work includes reshaping the roadbed by reestablishing ditches and pulling the road width back to a standard width by cutting the shoulders and adding acceptable material to the existing surface. The new surface will be constructed with a crown of no less than 4%. Additional work will include cleaning lead-out ditches, cutting the washboard, filling potholes and covering large rocks. Once the approved roadbed is prepared, commercially purchased aggregate consisting of CDOT class 6 1"-minus road base material with a pi between 2-9 shall be hauled, placed and compacted using layer placement method 204.11(a)(1) to a 4" depth and a 12' to 18' width. The Contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 201 calendar days Magnitude of Construction: Between $100,000 and $250,000. Period of Performance: Complete work no later than April 24, 2026 with a start date of no earlier than October 6th, 2025. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
