West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Proposals ("RFP") to solicit proposals from qualified firms or individuals ("Proposers") for The project scope is the renovation of approx _4,810_GSF of Science Hall Lab space. Includes interior renovations with new finishes, new casework, flooring, ceiling, lighting, new HVAC and fume hoods. This contract shall include all demolition, abatement, renovations, fixtures, and equipment necessary and as described in the attachments. Question Deadline 07/21/2025 at 3:00 PM ET Questions MUST be submitted directly online. Any and all communication shall be held with the Procurement Official. Proposers shall not communicate with any other WVU personnel or representative during the RFP process 1. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated below. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed and/or Contact shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion. a. Substantial Completion shall be: 3/24/2026 b. Final Completion shall be: 4/7/2026 c. Final Completion shall be when project site is de-mobilized and all project documents listed in Close-Out section of the specifications has been sent to the Owner. Liquidated Damages 1. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. a. Liquidated Damages shall be One Thousand Dollars ($1000) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
