Renovation of a multi-residential development in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The project will be completed under one prime contract: Contract No. 2024-2 - Boiler Gasket Replacement at cHazle Twin Each Bid when submitted must be accompanied by a Bi d Security which shall not be less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the Total Base Bid, a Non-Collusion Affidavit, and additional supplements as indicated in the Contracting Documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond. Refer to other bidding requirements described in In struction to Bidders. Bidders must submit their Bid on the Bid Form provided. Bidders shall not alter this form in anyway. Attention is called to the provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity and the payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Non-Technical Specifications must be paid on the Project. All contractors and subcontractors will be required to adhere to Section-3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 as amended. The Housing Authority of the City of Hazleton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities, irregularities, defects, errors or missions in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of the Bids, without consent of the Housing Authority of the City of Hazleton Project Locations: 1 ) Hazle Twins Building 'A' 50 East Juniper Street 2) Hazle Twins Building 'B' 70 West Juniper Street Hazleton PA 18201 Hazleton PA 18201 The Work of Project shall be completed under one (1) prime contract. B. Scope of Work: The Scope of Work includes providing all work including labor, materials, tools, equipment, testing, services, permitting, etc., to complete the re-gasketing and related work associated with three (3) boilers including one (1) boiler at Hazle Twins Building A and two (2) boilers at Hazle Twins Building B as more specifically described in paragraph D below. Existing Boilers: Contractor shall inspect the existing boilers, confirm existing conditions, and confirm the scope necessary to re-gasket the boilers, prior to bid. Contractor shall provide all work necessary to re-gasket and return the boilers to operational status. The boilers included in the scope of work include the following: 1. Hazle Twins, Building 'A': Left hand boiler located at 50 East Juniper Street. 2. Hazle Twins, Building 'B': Boiler 1 located at 70 West Juniper Street. 3. Hazle Twins, Building 'B': Boiler 2 located at 70 West Juniper Street. The Boiler Installation Reports for the original installation, circa 2008, is included as Appendix A. Bidder shall confirm information in reports are correct prior to submitting bid All questions about the meaning or intent of the Project Manual and Drawings shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing.
