In 2025, an Arborist will cut seven public ash trees and grind their stumps. The Arborist will also grind five additional ash stumps. The Rockingham Highway Department will coordinate with the Arborist to remove chips and wood, and repair the greenbelts. All trees and stumps are located in Bellows Falls Village. The Arborist will also trim dead hazardous branches from four maple trees on School St. ocations of trees and stumps 6-12" 1.Next to downtown parking lot on Rockingham St., 12-18" 2. 87 Atkinson St., Vermont State Route 5 18-24" 3. 82 Atkinson St., Vermont State Route 5 4. 84 Atkinson St., Vermont State Route 5 24"+ 5. 115 Atkinson St., Vermont State Route 5 6. School St., across from Hetty Green Park 7. School St., across from Hetty Green Park There are five additional ash tree stumps on Atkinson St. that the Arborist will grind: 51, 54, 55, 58, 77. Four maples on School St. will have dead wood removed. The project will be paid for by grant funds awarded by the Vermont Department of Forest, Parks, And Recreation, Urban and Community Forestry Program and the USDA Forest Service. Work will be performed by an Arborist with proof of insurance. The removals will be done during the summer school recess: June 17, 2025 -August 21, 2025 The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
