Reference Number 0000398359 Bid Intent Not Available The Town of West Springfield, through its Fire Department, is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of the overhead doors at the Fire Department Headquarters located at 44 Van Deene Ave, West Springfield, MA 01089. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 50 % - Payment Bond 50 % Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a licensed surety company, or a Certified check, or a Treasurer's or Cashier's check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base bid payable to the Town of West Springfield. A Payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of 50% of the Contract Price will be required of the Successful Bidder. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish workmen's compensation insurance and public liability insurance. Bids will remain firm for sixty (60) days following the opening of proposals. The contract shall be awarded by the Chief Procurement Officer, which reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in part or in whole, any and all proposals or to take whatever action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of West Springfield.
