Stormwater Abatement along Valley Avenue and Seaview Terrace Each proposal must be accompanied by either a certified check on a solvent bank or trust company, doing business in New York or an acceptable Bid Bond in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, made payable to the Village of Northport as assurance that the Contract will be executed if awarded to such bidder. The Contractor will be required to complete the form included in this proposal to provide a list of similar work performed. The Contractor will be required to comply with the Labor Laws of the State of New York. Public liability and property damage insurance and performance and payment bond will be required. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a contract for the performance of the work that may be awarded to said bidder for the total amount of the awarded contract price. Each Bidder must indicate how much of the contract will be completed by the Bidder themselves and how much by subcontractors. To the maximum extent permitted by law, a bid may be rejected in the interest of the Village based on the extent of proposed delegation of the performance of the contract to subcontractors or based on the level of qualification and experience of the proposed subcontractors. The Village encourages minority and women-owned businesses to participate. The Village of Northport reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept that bid which it deems most favorable to the interests of the Village. Final award is conditional upon, and subject to, any and all federal, state and local agencies having jurisdiction or authority over this project.
