Backflow preventer preventative maintenance and annual testing are required for forty-five Reduced Pressure Zone backflow prevention assemblies and one process backflow prevention device serving the potable water and fire protection systems of an approximately 268-acre medical campus. Work supports compliance with New York State Department of Health and Suffolk County Department of Health Services cross-connection control requirements, as well as Veterans Health Administration Directive 1061 and The Joint Commission Environment of Care Standard EC.02.05.02. Services include annual inspection, testing, maintenance, and documentation necessary to protect the potable water supply for a regulated public water system that includes groundwater wells, air stripping towers, disinfection and pH-adjustment systems, supply pumps, a storage tower, and distribution piping. Performance will occur under a firm-fixed-price base year with four option years, with work beginning in calendar year 2026. Contractors must provide proof of technical capability, business type, SAM registration, and subcontracting approach in accordance with applicable limitations on subcontracting.
