The project entails constructing a new primary cell, upgrading two existing cells, and implementing new features such as HDPE liners, egress ramps, and a gas collection system to meet provincial environmental standards. T BMCE Ltd. has completed a design and cost optimization review of documents initially prepared by Tetra Tech. The Town intends to proceed with Option 2, which includes: - Use of an 80 mil HDPE liner without sand cover; - Revised fencing standards (1.8m field wire fence with barbed wire); - New access/egress pads for each cell; - A gas relief system under all liners; Revised inter-cell piping (150 mm instead of 250 mm); - Eliminated riprap lining based on liner type. report TIMELINE: An RFP for Project Management Services during the detailed design, tendering & construction oversight has been awarded. Local Link Consulting will act as the Project Manager. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
