Site work and paving for a road / highway in Half Moon Bay, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
In general, this project includes pavement maintenance, such as cold planing, asphalt concrete overlay, thermoplastic striping, and other miscellaneous items. Project limits include Miramontes Avenue from Alsace Lorraine Avenue to the western cul-de-sac, Alsace Lorraine Avenue from Kelly Avenue to Valdez Avenue, Potter Avenue from Miramontes Avenue to Valdez Avenue, Granelli Avenues from the Second Avenue alley to Railroad Avenue, Myrtle Street from Third Avenue to Second Avenue, Second Avenue from Filbert Street intersection north to the midblock between Filbert Street and Myrtle Steet, and Filbert Street from Second Avenue to Railroad Avenue. The work is to be complete within a period of 40 working days, unless otherwise agreed upon after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The City of Half Moon Bay is requesting for the project to be completed prior to December 19, 2025. A Notice to Proceed will be issued once all insurance, bonds, and critical submittals have been approved. If the Contractor fails to complete the work within the above specified time limit, the Contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the City, computed at the rate of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) for each calendar day beyond the specified time limit until the project is completed. All bids must include a bidder's bond or certified check for at least ten (10) percent of the total bid price including any additive items. Bonds or securities assuring faithful performance and payment for labor and materials in an amount of at least one hundred (100) percent of the contract amount, and insurance policies as required by the contract documents shall be furnished to the City upon execution of the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any bid irregularity to the extent permitted by law. If the City elects to award a contract for performance of the project, the contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder. All bids shall remain valid for sixty (60) days after the bid opening.
