Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Davis, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Any bidder attempting to deliver after the opening time and date will be refused. The project consists of improvements at Memory Park in the Village of Davis and includes removals of existing fencing, pavements, sidewalks, trees, signs, and recreational equipment; installation of new hot-mix asphalt pavement (aggregate base, binder, and surface courses); concrete paving for bleacher pads, exercise stations, and court areas; construction of a GaGa Ball pit, pickleball and basketball courts with surfacing and markings; installation of site furnishings (picnic tables, gaming tables, donor sign, grills, benches, disc golf baskets, and bleachers); new pedestrian amenities including drinking fountains; playground and fitness equipment; landscape block walls and site grading; erosion and sediment control measures; landscaping with new trees, shrubs, and perennials; and all related appurtenances and site restoration as shown in the plans. This project is funded in part by an OSLAD (Open Space Land Acquisition and Development) Grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. This project must follow the rules and regulations of this funding, including Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, Illinois Works Jobs Program Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Business Enterprise Program, the Endangered Species Protection Act, 520 ILCS 10/11; section 17 of the Illinois Natural Areas Preservation Act, 525 ILCS 30/17; the mitigation or compensation determinations required by the Interagency Wetland Policy Act, 20 ILCS 830/1 et seq.; and the environmental and economic impact determination required by the Historic Preservation Act, 20 ILCS 3420/4. Bid documents may be obtained from online. Potential Bidders can obtain a complete set of bidding documents from this page for a non-refundable fee of $25.00. Hard copies of the bid documents may also be obtained and examined from the office of the Engineer at 101 West Stephenson Street, Freeport, IL 61032 upon receipt of cash or check in the amount of $300 for one set (non-refundable). Overnight mailing of Bidding Documents will not be provided. All bids must be accompanied by a bank check, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond payable to the Owner for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set for in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The Village of Davis reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Village of Davis for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids. By submitting a bid, each bidder expressly agrees and promises that he/she/it will comply with all applicable ordinances, statutes and regulations, including but not limited to, the equal employment and affirmative action provisions pertaining to public contracts by Section 2-105 of the Illinois Human Rights Act (codified as Paragraph 2-105 of Chapter 775 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, as amended).
